Community Service

The Traverse City Optimist Club Members put great efforts into supporting our local community by participating in events and projects that better our area for all who come here.

TC Optimist Club Supports NMC College BBQ

Aprons on! The Traverse City Optimist Club is an annual supporter of the NMC BBQ fund raiser. Club participants put on aprons and serve up warm Welcome’s, food, and smiles to the thousands of picnickers fed at the event each year.

TC Optimist Club Supports Salvation Army Bell Ringing

TC Optimist Club Members support the Traverse City Salvation Army bell ringing program by collecting donations in front of local businesses.  These funds provide assistance to those in need.

TC Optimist Club Adopt-a-Road Clean-up

The Traverse City Optimist Club has a vested interest in the Grand Traverse County Adopt-a-Road Program. Our participation is driven by more than one cause.  In addition to keeping our beautiful county clean, our stretch of road from the Shell Station on Garfield at Hammond to the Shell Station on Three Mile at Hammond holds a special value to our hearts.  Come to a meeting and find out more about our special connection.
